New "Relieving the Hunger" Video Message
 With
the global economic downturn, more families are finding it difficult to
put food on the table. That's why President Scruggs is asking Lions to
shine a light on hunger during a special service action campaign,
"Relieving the Hunger." During December and January, your club can
organize projects that mobilize your members to make a difference by
helping those affected by hunger in your community. Watch "Relieving the Hunger" video message. And learn how you can help relieve hunger in your community. |

postmark deadline for clubs to send winning Peace Posters to their
district governors is November 15, 2010. The postmark deadline for
districts to send their winning posters to their multiple district
council chairpersons is December 1, 2010. Please note: December 1,
2010 is also the postmark deadline for clubs not belonging to districts
and districts not belonging to multiple districts to send their posters
directly to the Public Relations Department at International

Lions in Action: Giving Women in Morocco a Better Life | |
About
20 percent of Morocco's population lives at or below the poverty line.
Many adult women - including a growing number of single mothers - never
had the opportunity to attend school, and lack job skills such as the
ability to read or write. Local Lions wanted to provide hope to these
families by establishing a school for women that includes a preschool
for their children. Learn how Lions made this project happen. And get "Tips and Tools" you can use to do a project like this in your community. |

Register to Attend International Convention in Seattle
Join thousands of Lions from around the world at our 94th International Convention in Seattle, Washington, July 4-8, 2011.
- Exhibits and workshops will take place at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle.
- Plenary sessions, featuring former U.S.
Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice and the gala International Show,
will be at the Key Arena at Seattle Center, site of the Space Needle.
July is peak tourist season in Seattle, so make your plans to attend now. Register to attend by December 31 to lock in the lowest registration fee and Lions hotel rates. |
