Dear Club President:
First, "THANK
YOU" for all you are doing for Lions!
Second, three months remain
in your term of office, and I hope that your club is having its best year
ever! However, you and I know that we can do more in our communities with
more hands to serve. Your district governor has encouraged all clubs -
including yours - to both retain and increase your membership by finding
more ways to serve your community. How is your current number compared to
what it was on July 1st of 2010 - more, less or just the same?
Have you, your vice
presidents, and your membership director set a positive example for
everyone by each of you sponsoring a new Lion? (If so, you have six to
ten more hands to serve!)
As part of your membership
involvement strategy, are you using the Family Membership Program?
If not, why not? It's a great way to increase the club's ability to serve
your community - and to get a financial break on annual LCI dues! Get
details of the Family Membership Program on our website.
Have you replaced the members
you may have lost since last July?
Is your community aware of
all the good things your club does to make it a better place in which to
live? If there's any doubt about that, take time to tell your story -
spread the good news! A lighthouse isn't much good if the light isn't
visible! Visit our website for some terrific PR tips!
International President
Scruggs wants every club to be a community-based Beacon of Service! With
more hands to make each beacon shine more brightly, your club will answer
his wish. If our US Global Membership Team can help you in any way,
please contact your district governor, or one of the following US GMT
