| MD14 MEMBERSHIP CONTEST Mission Statement: To create a spirit of competition at a variety of membership levels. The purpose is to grow the membership numbers in the multiple district, which will then increase the level of service that we may provide to those in need. Those participating will be setting an example for others to follow. Contest time frame: July 1, 2011 - March 31, 2012. Only those members included on the March report or earlier qualify. The contest ends in March so that we can recognize the winners at the Key Member breakfast at the MD14 State Convention. Categories include the following: a. Individual Lions sponsoring the highest number of new lions b. Current District Governor sponsoring the highest number of new lions. c. Past District Governor sponsoring the highest number of new lions. d. International Director or Past International Director sponsoring the highest number of new lions e. Individual Lions Club with highest number of new lions. f. Individual District with highest number of new lions. Winners will be honored for 1st and 2nd place, and in the case of any ties, all are honored with pins, certificates and breakfast. As we have 775 clubs and approximately 23,000 lions, it is the responsibility of the participants to submit their final numbers to the MD GMT coordinator, or to their district for submission by April 14, 2012. If the MD GMT does not receive the numbers it will not count.
